More details
How it works
The LH Ovulation Test Midstream (Urine) detects a surge in luteinising hormones (LH) in urine through visual interpretation of color development on a sample strip. The test detects the LH surge, signaling that ovulation is likely to occur in the next 24-36 hours, by utilising a combination of antibodies including a monoclonal LH antibody to selectively detect elevated levels of LH.
Interpreting results
The presence of a coloured band in the test region (T) indicates a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result. A coloured band in the control region (C) serves as a procedural control, indicating that the proper volume of specimen has been added. If no band on the C region appears, the test is invalid, and should be repeated with a new device.
Precautions for use
The test is intended for home testing (or self-testing). It obtains a preliminary result only, to aid the detection of ovulation. This test is strictly intended for external use, and should not be placed inside the body. Please note that the LH surge and ovulation may not occur in all menstrual cycles.
